Wax figure of Lee MinHo unveiled at Madame Tussauds Shanghai

(April 19, Shanghai) In April, Madame Tussauds Shanghai, located on 10/F, New World Building, No.2-68, West Nanjing Road, Shanghai, ushered in a heavyweight guest always with warm smiles on his face – Mr. Lee MinHo, a super idol from South Korea who has swept Asia since he rose to fame. Mr. Lee visited Madame Tussauds Shanghai to unveil his own wax figure. It is no exaggeration to say that his arrival graced Madame Tussauds Shanghai in the warm season of spring.

Mr. Lee MinHo is currently one of the most popular actors in Asia who is continuously showing his great potential as a new-generation super star. The good-looking man made his debut in a TV serial in 2003 and his first peak in career came when he starred Boys over Flowers (South Korean version) which made him an overnight TV sensation in Asia and the apple of many well-known directors’ eye. And Lee became even more popular for his successful performance in City Hunter. With a sunny, good-looking face and excellent acting skills, Lee soon became one of the most popular actors in Asia.

Madame Tussauds Shanghai completed measurement for the wax figure last summer. Through ten months’ carving and polishing, the wax figure was finally unveiled before the public. In a black Western suit which shows his perfect stature, Lee in the wax figure looks handsome and trendy. At the same time, the wax figure also impresses audience with the young star’s confident and amiable smiles which, fresh and natural as ever, bring unlimited positive energy to visitors. Even Lee himself was so impressed by the wax figure that he showered praise on it and stood beside it and struck the same pose to give a surprise to audience.

“When deciding which celebrity to make a wax figure for, Madame Tussauds Shanghai does not only fixate on the elite of the industry, but also pay attention to the choice of the public so that our visitors can see the idol in their mind,” said Yang Yong, Shanghai Marketing Director of Merlin Entertainments Group. “Today, we are honoured to have the presence of Mr. Lee MinHo who has earned high recognition from audience for his sunny character and perseverance in whatever he does. He is the first South Korean actor whose wax figure will stay permanently at Madame Tussauds Shanghai. We have every reason to believe that his wax figure will become one of the Museum’s most eye-catching sights in 2013.”

From today on, the wax figure of Lee MinHo in a black Western suit will meet with its long-awaited fans at Madame Tussauds Shanghai. Visitors will have an opportunity to be exposed to the super idol who has launched a million crushes for his sunny character, handsome look, warm smiles and crystal-clear eyes.
